GLEE

Weekend went very well. Had 9 for dinner and then went up to Tarpon Springs to see a play which one of our members was performing in. Many thanks to the different cooks who prepared or bought the different items to the potluck. I think my own version of Picadillo was a success.
This Wednesday, we're going to one of the member's condos to watch the TV show Glee. It's got a gay sense of humor, for sure. Very cute.

Last weekend

Visited the Third Friday festival in Safety Harbor. Strolled up and down Main St. It was Pirate night, it seemed. Many folks in dress up. Plus good music down by the Spa.
Sunday, the group went out to breakfast at Farmer Boy. Saw John back from Europe. Had an especially good time in Berlin, so he says.
Sunday night, Bill invited folks to his place for a movie. Saw a submarine film. Nothing special. But the company was fun.
Next week, potluck dinner and play outing. We'll be seeing A Tribute to Radio. On Saturday. One of the actors is in our club.

Meeting, etc.

Had our September meeting. Had a nice discussion and shared some ideas for some events in the future. Thanks to Bob for providing our refreshments. Two new members attended. They saw the article in the OTOW newspapers. So the word is slowly getting around.
There was a movie night on Thursday at Tony's. We saw Wolverine. It's an X-men origins movie. It was not exactly Citizen Kane, but you didn't fall asleep during it either. Tony provided some excellent refreshments. Also, we got to see his apartment since he got the new furnishings and floor. Very nice!
Sunday, brunch is at Farmer Boy restaurant at noon.
Upcoming, we're going to a play in Tarpon Springs next Saturday.

Aidswalk canceled

Bummer. Rained on Saturday morning which would have made for a slippery walk for the masses, so I'm sure that's why it was canceled. I got $70 collected for it which I will now mail in. It benefits the Aids Service program in our county.
Since my last entry, there have been some smaller get togethers among the members. The next event is the monthly meeting which will occur this Wed. on Sep. 16.

Rain, rain

Lambda club went out to dinner last night at the Whistle Stop Cafe. It's an outdoor type place. The weather was kinda rotten though. Rain and wind. Plus it was open mike night which made for difficulty in talking. But the food was good, anyway. Next events are the Aidswalk on the 12th and the regular meeting on the 16th.
